Presentation College Saints Softball Can't Quite

  • Presentation College Saints Softball fought back after falling down by four runs in the sixth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 7-6 defeat to Northwestern College on Friday.Presentation College Saints Softball scored four runs in the failed comeback on a groundout by Skye Carter, a single by Cortni Mendoza, and a single by Cherie Malacas.
  • Presentation College Saints Softball was right in it until Northwestern College in the ninth inning.
  • Northwestern College took an early lead in the second inning. Madison Beaver drove in two when she singled.
  • Presentation College Saints Softball evened things up at six in the bottom of the sixth inning when Malacas singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
  • Presentation College Saints Softball notched four runs in the sixth inning. Carter, Mendoza, and Malacas all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
  • Samantha Ubben got the win for Northwestern College. She lasted nine innings, allowing 11 hits and six runs while striking out four.
  • Darrian Gibson took the loss for Presentation College Saints Softball. She went nine innings, allowing seven runs on 12 hits and striking out one.
  • Presentation College Saints Softball scattered 11 hits in the game. Mendoza and Jadwyn Parrish each collected multiple hits for Presentation College Saints Softball. Mendoza led Presentation College Saints Softball with four hits in five at bats.
  • Northwestern College had 12 hits in the game. Vanessa Gomez, Beaver, and Jennifer Boeve all managed multiple hits for Northwestern College. Northwestern College was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Devin Dreesen made the most plays with five.

  • Presentation (2) vs Northwestern (9)
  • Presentation College Saints Softball lost the lead late in a 9-2 defeat to Northwestern College on Friday. The game was tied at two with Northwestern College batting in the top of the fifth when Madison Beaver hit a solo homer.
  • The Presentation College Saints Softball struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Northwestern College, giving up nine runs.
  • Northwestern College got on the board in the first inning when Devin Dreesen doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
  • Presentation College Saints Softball knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the fourth inning. Cortni Mendoza drove in one when she singled.
  • Northwestern College scored three runs in the seventh inning. The big inning for Northwestern College came thanks to singles by Jennifer Boeve and Samantha Ubben and a double by Amber Schubert.
  • Emma Schnell was the winning pitcher for Northwestern College. She went five innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out six and walking one. Jordyn Kramer and Ubbenentered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
  • Bibiana Villeda took the loss for Presentation College Saints Softball. She allowed 14 hits and nine runs over seven innings.
  • Presentation College Saints Softball totaled six hits. Krystle Schweers and Mendoza all collected multiple hits for Presentation College Saints Softball. Mendoza and Schweers each collected two hits to lead Presentation College Saints Softball.
  • Northwestern College saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game. Beaver, Boeve, Emily Strasser, and Dreesen all managed multiple hits for Northwestern College. Beaver went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Northwestern College in hits. Northwestern College was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Hailey Louw had the most chances in the field with eight.

Presentation College Saints Softball Claims Lead

Presentation (3) VS Dordt (2)


Presentation College Saints Softball stole the lead late and defeated Dordt College 3-2 on Thursday.  The game was tied at two with Presentation College Saints Softball batting in the bottom of the fifth when an error scored one run for Presentation College Saints Softball.


The pitching was strong on both sides. Bibiana Villeda struck out one, while Dordt College pitchers sat down six.


Dordt College got things moving in the first inning, when Brooklyn Van Noort's sac fly scored one run for Dordt College.


Dordt College knotted the game up at two in the top of the fourth inning, when Carley De Roin drew a walk, scoring one run.


Villeda earned the win for Presentation College Saints Softball. She surrendered two runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out one.


Marlis Mundorf took the loss for Dordt College. She surrendered zero runs on one hit over one inning, walking zero.


 Natalie Vos started the game for Dordt College. She surrendered three runs on five hits over five innings, striking out six


Cortni Mendoza led Presentation College Saints Softball with three hits in three at bats.  Mendoza led Presentation College Saints Softball with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.


Macy Jacobsma went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Dordt College in hits.

Late Score Costs Presentation College Saints

Presentation College Saints Softball stayed in it until the end, but Dordt College pulled away late in a 7-6 victory on Thursday.  The game was tied at five with Dordt College batting in the top of the seventh when Carley De Roin hit a solo homer.


Presentation College Saints Softball lost despite out-hitting Dordt College 12 to eight.


In the first inning, Dordt College got their offense started when De Roin doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.


In the top of the sixth inning, Dordt College tied things up at five when Erin Bredemus grounded out, scoring one run.


Presentation College Saints Softball put up four runs in the fourth inning.  Presentation College Saints Softball's offense in the inning came from a single by Celia Cerezo, an error on a ball put in play by Jadwyn Parrish, and a double by Cortni Mendoza.


Tianna Soodsma pitched Dordt College to victory. She went seven innings, allowing six runs on 12 hits and striking out three.


Bibiana Villeda took the loss for Presentation College Saints Softball. She went seven innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits and striking out six.


Presentation College Saints Softball racked up 12 hits on the day.  Sierra Kilmer, Mendoza, Cerezo, and Darrian Gibson all managed multiple hits for Presentation College Saints Softball.  Kilmer led Presentation College Saints Softball with three hits in four at bats.


Dordt College racked up eight hits.  De Roin and Brooklyn Van Noort all had multiple hits for Dordt College.

  • Presentation College Saints Softball stayed in it until the end, but (24) University of Jamestown pulled away late in a 7-5 victory on Sunday. (24) University of Jamestown trailed 5-4 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Mariah Martinez doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
  • (24) University of Jamestown fired up the offense in the first inning. Kassie Ward hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.
  • Meghan Ramage took the win for (24) University of Jamestown. She allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one.
  • Bibiana Villeda took the loss for Presentation College Saints Softball. She lasted six innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs while striking out three and walking zero.
  • Julia Byrne started the game for (24) University of Jamestown. She lasted five innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out three
  • Sierra Kilmer, Krystle Schweers, Cortni Mendoza, and Madison Brink each collected one hit to lead Presentation College Saints Softball. Presentation College Saints Softball was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Maranda McLaren had the most chances in the field with three.
  • (24) University of Jamestown totaled eight hits. Allie McCain and Sydney Prussia each had multiple hits for (24) University of Jamestown. (24) University of Jamestown didn't commit a single error in the field. Lorigan Steuben had six chances in the field, the most on the team.

Presentation College Saints Softball Loses Lead

  • Presentation College Saints Softball watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 15-0 loss to Dakota Wesleyan University on Sunday. Dakota Wesleyan University scored on a single by Karly Severance, an error, a single by Alyssa Gacia, a walk by Kindra Clark, and a walk by Andriana Sprakel in the first inning.
  • The Presentation College Saints Softball struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Dakota Wesleyan University, giving up 15 runs.
  • Dakota Wesleyan University opened up scoring in the first inning, when Severance singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
  • One bright spot for Presentation College Saints Softball was a single by Darrian Gibson in the third inning.
  • Sierra Haage was credited with the victory for Dakota Wesleyan University. She allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out two.
  • Morgan Plumbtree took the loss for Presentation College Saints Softball. She went four innings, allowing 15 runs on 11 hits and striking out two.
  • Dakota Wesleyan University smacked two home runs on the day. Andrea Konz went deep in the second inning. Melysia Ortega had a dinger in the fourth inning.
  • Gibson and Krystle Schweers all had one hit to lead Presentation College Saints Softball.
  • Dakota Wesleyan University totaled 11 hits. Sprakel, Ortega, and Konz all collected multiple hits for Dakota Wesleyan University.

  • Presentation College Saints Softball stayed in it until the end, but (25) Valley City State University pulled away late in a 7-4 victory on Saturday. (25) Valley City State University was down 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Riley Perryman tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
  • Presentation College Saints Softball opened up scoring in the first inning. Krystle Schweerssingled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
  • Emilee Wilson earned the victory in the pitcher's circle for (25) Valley City State University. She lasted six and a third innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out six and walking zero.
  • Bibiana Villeda took the loss for Presentation College Saints Softball. She surrendered six runs on nine hits over five innings, striking out two and walking one.
  • Amber Stewart started the game for (25) Valley City State University. She went two-thirds of an inning, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out one and walking zero
  • Schweers led Presentation College Saints Softball with two hits in three at bats. Presentation College Saints Softball didn't commit a single error in the field. Jadwyn Parrish had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
  • (25) Valley City State University tallied ten hits in the game. Joelle Aiello and Marissa Hawkinseach collected multiple hits for (25) Valley City State University. (25) Valley City State University was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Aiello made the most plays with six.

  • Presentation College Saints Softball fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-1 loss to (24) University of Jamestown on Saturday. (24) University of Jamestown took the lead on a grand slam in the second inning.
  • The Presentation College Saints Softball struggled to contain the high-powered offense of (24) University of Jamestown, giving up seven runs.
  • In the second inning, (24) University of Jamestown got their offense started. Morgan Geiszlerdrove in four when she homered.
  • Courtney Espinoza took the win for (24) University of Jamestown. She allowed four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out three. Julia Byrne threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
  • Morgan Plumbtree took the loss for Presentation College Saints Softball. She went seven innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits and striking out four.
